'Good Food is my favorite desire and fulfilling it, is my favorite place.'
This line might have been quoted by many people around the globe but whoever said it the first place had a very clear notion, that if a place is not serving good food it cannot be good, which is why it was an honor for me to visit this place, "Latest Recipe", a restaurant, located @ Le Meridien, Gurgaon and it was simply unforgettable for me since then.
The moment one steps inside the restaurant, it is the greenery and the outside beauty one can adjudge and then even more appealing and tempting is the food panorama, this very venue is one baroque and exorbitant by view itself. Not too gaudy, eclectic interior, profuse and prodigal view from inside out and very rich in every aspect of portraying sophistication.
The sitting accommodation is very much promising as a big corporate party can be taken up any moment at this venue, also, a separate dining area has been also provided for family get together or any particular purpose, whatsoever. With beautiful finishing to the walls and the glass view, the lush green plantation outside the parameters of the Hotel is done in one of the finest possible way as it gives a very sense of complacency. Within the interior, the walls are decorated and the arrangement in sitting and the dining area has been very sensibly defined and scrutinized. The entire restaurant has been dissected in parts which is imperative to the concept of not making the overall experience messy rather a systematic approach towards the patrons.
The bar is on the other side of the room where as the buffet area is on one side, sections of every cuisine has been defined and divided into a very schematic and synchronized process for an ergonomical approach for the clients. It was very much easy for me to figure out what to eat as from the very beginning it was the bread section with the soup option to start the meal, also the bar can provide any mocktail or cocktail that we wanted, eventually we proceeded to the tandoori section where live Paneer Tikka, Soya and also Chicken was being cooked on tandoor, for some amazing experience. On the very same table I saw noodles and rices made almost in 4 varieties. Gradually we progressed to the Sushi Counter, where live Sushi was being made by the chef, veg and Non-veg both. Then we turned to the soup section that was noodles soup and can be customized as per the request of the client. Then came the Italian section where live pasta station was present to customize the pasta in whatever way the person wants also the very rare concept of live pizzeria section but the unconventional point here was the Pizza were made live in the wood fired brick oven live to the people around, as it was clearly to be witnessed, fresh, juicy, cheesy Pizza right there hot and spiced up with all the ingredients on the palate, like a perfect Pizza right from Naples, in here at this venue.
Now was the North Indian Section which served all the gravies, Veg and Non Veg both, and the bread section for the Naan and butter roti or Laccha parantha was separate also a very interesting concept of live chaat station with customization of Chaat too, with all the ingredients right there, and the Sharbat section that gives a variety of 4 Sharbats at one time, chilled and refreshing.
A picture is worth thousand words, and my experience was worth many delectable memories, the very term extensive buffet, is the correct explanation when it comes to dine in-here, as the prices are reasonable as what they are serving with the prices mentioned, its like an unending delicacies trail with non-stop supply, and every dish had a peculiar taste and uncompromising quality. Even the mock-tails served to us were so refreshing and enjoyable I was drooling all the way. The Japanese pan cake, the Japanese street food, which was made of egg with no filling which made me imaginative even more. I was not able to even cover half of the whole round and yet the heart kept saying go for more, let the belly say the other way, just listen to me. It was so amazing that I still have a craving for going there at alternative days just to complete my round of all the cuisines.
Then came and finally we arrived at the last spot, Dessert section which again came with a surprise as, Teriyaki Ice Cream was also being served with Jaggery Gulab jamun, choco-fondant and assorted desserts of all types, the patisserie chef surely had a notion of making the people go dozing in drool pool with such decadent sweets all together.
I could have been there all day and still would not have been able to complete the complete round, the taste of every dish tempts to make one finish the entire plate and then take the next one again and again. Every dish kept their was different and to go crazy for to any extent. One of the finest and most profuse buffet ever that I have been to has to be this one, the prices are good and the food is excellent, the place itself is a maverick and stands up to its potential. It was a mesmerizing experience and will always be. Loved it.
